Test: Minelab Equinox 800 vs Makro Multi Kruzer 2018

New Minelab’s metal detector Equinox 800 can become one of the best metal detectors for the next 10 years (special greetings to the Garrett AT Max), but the Turkish manufacturer Makro metal detectors do not rush to give all the glory to the Australians.

These are two very cool multi-frequency metal detectors that excellently show themselves in the fields, forests and on the beaches. The thing that attracts attention immediately is that the Makro Multi Kruzer metal detector has IP68 Rating which means that it can perform underwater up to 5 Meters (16.4 feet).

What metal detector do you prefer? Waiting for your reply in the comments.

  1. The reason the detectors don’t get the Charles hammered is because there is probably a bit of iron in the clod
All detectors fail to find a target that is several inches deep when there is a nail or whatever near the surface above or anywhere near it.
They will find it if they are on a similar level
No iron involved and the Equinox should get the Charles at about 13″ the Makro will not get anywhere near it

  3. Actually the Minelab Equinox is a Multi frequency detector. You have it listed as a VLF single frequency.
